Non-Toxic Oven Cleaning Using Easy Ingredients

It takes time to clean the oven and you probably don’t do it very often. You’re not alone, rest assured. This is probably the most overlooked cooking appliance and cleaning which consumes more time this may cause stress.

When cleaning, you have to be careful about what you use. Tons of products can be purchased from the shop. But most of them have ingredients that are caustic or corrosive. Certainly, your dirty oven is made to clean from all the grim and built-in food that was cooked inside, but caustic products can corrode materials and human tissue. This can lead to possible burns, scarring and permanent damage to the body.

More and more people choose to clean their ovens chemically. Cleaning an oven with natural ingredients may appear unrealistic, but it is very simple and requires nothing more than eco-friendly products, which may already be available in your home. Combine it with some elbow grate and you bring your cooking appliance’s brightness back. With that in mind, we have compiled a list of the best natural oven cleaners for you.

Before you begin cleaning, make sure you put any kind of cover under the oven and the vicinity (e.g. plastic bag, newspaper, etc.). This will avoid any spillage on the ground.
Baking soda and vinegar

We first decided to start with our favourite natural oven cleaner (and probably the most recommended). When it comes to cleaning, baking soda is magical. When you combine it with vinegar, you have the perfect solution for oven cleaning. Here is what you will need for this

Method of cleaning: (Non Toxic Oven Cleaning)

• 1 cup of baking soda
• Water
• Vinegar white
• A bottle of spray
• Gloves
• Sponge
• A tissue

Mix 1 cup of baking soda and a little water to make a paste. The paste must be thick, so don’t put too much water. Spread it in the oven with the sponge, scrub it and allow it to remain there for approximately 1 hour. Wipe the baking soda with a damp cloth. When done, add white vinegar and spray the whole oven in a spray bottle. Use a clean, dry cloth to give it a final wipe.

Juice of Lemon (Non Toxic Oven Cleaning)

Steam cleaning is another great natural way to clean your oven and clear some hard grade and dirt inside the oven. Citrus fruits and other citrus fruits are very natural degraders. So, here’s how you can clean your oven easily with only two lemons.
You will need:
• 1 oven-resistant bowl
• Water. Water.
• 2 lemons (limes also work)

Fill 1⁄3 of the oven-resistant bowl with water. Then, half the lemons and squeeze in a bowl the juice. Put the lemons in the bowl as well. Close your oven and turn it around 25 minutes to 200 degrees. If the fat accumulation is bad, you should leave the bowl a bit longer. When the water begins to boil, it creates steam that circulates inside and loosens all the grimace, helping you to clean the apparatus much easier. Turn off the oven and wait until it cools. Then remove the bowl and scrub off the grain, using a scouring pad. Please remember to use the lemon water to rinse inside the oven. Use a cloth to dry it off once you have cleaned it all.
When this happens, the oven may emit smoke. Turn on the fan of the oven and open the window.

Cornflour and Vinegar (Non Toxic Oven Cleaning)

White vinegar & cornflour can be used to make a non-toxic oven cleaner. Cornflour is the most important ingredient in this oven cleaner. If you don’t have baking soda, it’s a great substitute. Keep in mind that it is not as effective as bakery soda, but cornflour is a good supplement if bakery soda is not available. You will need this cleaning recipe:
• One cornflour tablespoon
• One vinegar cup
• A sponge

Put the ingredients in a pot and thicken over a stove. Meanwhile, make sure you mix well the mixture. Before using the solution, you must cool down to room temperature.
Disperse the paste in the oven and over the door with a sponge, and allow it to sit for approximately 30 minutes. Then take a damp cloth and clean all areas where the solution has been applied. Give it a dry cloth final wipe.

Oven racks with a washing machine detergent (Non Toxic Oven Cleaning)

All you need to do is to clean your oven racks:
• Washing detergent or detergent dish
• A towel (the old towel may be used)
• A sponge

Remove the racks from the oven and place them in the bathroom, sink or large pool filled with hot water. Then put a cup of your favourite detergent and dilute with water in a small container. Pour over the racks and let them stay for a few hours (or overnight). After the time has elapsed, remove the racks and scrub them until the whole remaining material is dropped. Give them a final rinse and voalá and sparkling clean your oven racks. The easiest way to clean the oven is by mixing baking soda and water.

Baking Soda (3 tablespoons), water (1.5 tablespoons)

Directions: Mix baking soda and water. Apply to the oven, let it sit, wipe it clean for 20 minutes.

And baking soda (3 tablespoons), hydrogen peroxide (1 tablespoon), dishwashing soap (1 tablespoon)
